Act Locally

About

What is Sustainable M.I.?

From discussion to action

We are an informal group of concerned Mercer Islanders, including island residents, students, city council members, and city staff, who are together exploring how to support and accelerate the City of Mercer Island's sustainability program. Sustainable M.I. seeks to protect ecosystem integrity while helping to make a vibrant local economy possible, with energy needs met by renewable sources.

Sustainable M.I.'s primary format is as a discussion group on Google groups, though it also holds in-person meetings such as a recent training in the STAR framework (December 4, 2017). To join the group, e-mail the City's Sustainability Manager, Ross Freeman, ross.freeman@mercergov.org or use the form below. If you'd prefer to just be kept informed about this and other sustainability initiatives on Mercer Island, use the form below to sign up for our monthly newsletter.
